Toujou Family

In the volume 11 epilogue, Basara enacts a plan to change the political landscape between the Demons and Hero Clan. Rather than trying to maintain the "sanctuary" status that forces of the Demon Realm granted Basara and company, Basara proposes a new alliance between his family, the Demons, and the Hero Clan. Under the new alliance, the Toujou family would serve as the cornerstone, and be responsible for mediating between the demons and humans. Since it's a single family, they lack much political power, but they make up for it in sheer fighting power. Should the Demon Realm or Hero Clan ever come under attack, the Toujou family would be responsible for lending their aid. If the circumstances ever called for it, Basara would even go as far as making sure that the Divine Realm wouldn't reject their freedom and existence.
