Chika Sakaki is a second-year student at Hijirigasaka Academy. She's best friends and classmate of Mio Naruse, Yuki Nonaka, and Shiho Aikawa as the four are often seen having lunch together. In her first-year as a student in Class B, Chika and Shiho was both inadvertently dragged into Zolgear's plot to capture Mio, when Zest took control of her during the events of Volume III.

Appearance

Chika is a cute young girl with short green shoulder-length hair and brown-colored eyes.

Most of the time, she is seen dressed in the uniform of her school, which resembles a white sailor uniform that has a black collar and black cuffs that has white horizontal stripes, an orange-colored tie hanged from the edges of her collar, a short black skirt that has a single white stripe, long black socks that has a white stripe around her calves, and also maroon-colored shoes.

Personality

Chika is shown to be a kind girl as shown in a number of her talks with her friends such as Mio, Yuki, and Shiho.

History

Most of her past is unknown, but Chika was a first-year student in Hijirigasaka Academy at around the same time as Mio, Shiho, and Yuki, all three she has shown to be close friends with.

Powers and Abilities

Human Powers

As a normal human, Chika doesn't have notable physical abilities like those among either the Hero or Demon Clan, making her more susceptible to the control over the magic of different species. However, it is noted that Chika has taken self-defense classes in Hijirigasaka Academy, catching Basara off guard enough to fall on top of him.

Magic Powers

In the manga, soon after Chika being taken control by Zest, she became able to utilize the same magical powers as other beings, which the latter states that closed the distance between her and Yuki before the Master-Servant Contract.

• Earth Magic: Having been put under the control of Zest, she also attained the same earth-based magics as her controller. Chika can also release stone bullets from the walls nearby, release earth spires from the ground below her, and cover her arm in stone to enhance the force of her strikes.

• Her first name Chika (千佳) means "Thousand Excellence".
  • Her surname Sakaki (榊) means "Sakaki Tree" or "Cleyera Japonica", which is considered to be sacred in Shintoism.
