Though, Brynhildr and Basara hasn't had much interaction with one another, it is noted that she had chose him as her wielder as a result of her desire to survive the sudden release of the latter's Banishing Shift. Following that, Basara has wielded Brynhildr as his main weapon, but he fears the sword resulting in his low synchronization with her unlike Yuki wielding Sakuya and Takashi wielding Byakko.
Because of the assistance of Chisato in bringing out Basara's sadistic side, and Sheila's medicine bringing out his demonic blood, Basara started increasing his synchronization with Brynhildr and she started acknowledging him more.
