Hero Clan

Jin Toujou[]

Albareos and Jin are former comrades. In the past, they were friendly with each other to the point where he used to take Jin to a certain restaurant whenever he visited the Vatican. Albareos often used to tell Jin about his plans for the future and how he wanted to make the world a better place while elevating the standing of the Hero Clan.

However, in the 20 years following the Great War, the two friends would go down drastically different paths. Albareos would ascend the ladder of power in the Vatican and eventually become the holy king. From that point on, he would simply take action to further secure and maintain his power. He even started to consider the idea that Jin might one day become an obstacle with regard to being able to hold onto his throne. Jin, on the other hand, came back from the war with a son and decided to leave the Hero Clan on his own terms.

In Volume XI's epilogue, the two would meet for the first time in 20 years. During their meeting, Albareos put his arrogance and bravado on full display for Jin. Uesu leaves open the possibility that Albareos might resent Jin for failing to make use of his power and moniker as a war god. Nothing was off-limits for Albareos. He would even go as far as making fun of Jin's decision to leave the Hero Clan and raise Basara. From Albareos' perspective, Jin is unable to understand his point of view seeing as Jin doesn't view the world from a seat of power.

Shiba Kyouichi[]

At first, Albareos viewed Shiba as their hope and his personal desire to become a god, after all, their attempts to create a successful clone of Jin using forbidden magic and techniques. However, he soon viewed him as a nuisance as Shiba suddenly became too powerful for them to control (not knowing Shiba absorbed Reginleif), his hope turned into fear after realizing that neither of them could kill Shiba since the corruption could swallow up the entire Vatican. This caused him to make a deal with the Elders to take him in exchange for political power, but not before placing a curse to eliminate Shiba if he did anything in the future.

In Volume XI, after Shiba starts his revenge against the Hero Clan, Albareos sends a white crow as a medium to warn him and an active curse that should kill him. However, due to Shiba knowing how to break that curse, he has survived, and he starts mocking Albareos for his failure and leaving him in fear of what he will do with the Hero Clan.

The Elders[]

The relationship with elders from Japan Hero Village was unknown, but after creating Shiba, Albareos makes a deal with them to take him in exchange for more political power, which they accepted despite knowing how much tread Shiba is. He seems to have some degree of trust with them about detaining Shiba, but aside this, not care about them in overall terms.
